Fellowship
As a congregation of the Lord’s people, we recognize the need to have fellowship with one another. This provides us an opportunity to share the good times and bad. Fellowship provides us opportunities to grow into one big family.
We enjoy fellowship meals after the morning worship service every first and third Sunday of the month. We strive to gather together on the second Friday of the month to enjoy a meal, and to indulge in fun activities and socializing. It is our hope to develop closer relationships one with another through this type of gathering.
As a family, we celebrate other special occasions throughout the year. Although no one day is esteemed greater than another,
Romans 14:5-6 KJV
One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
we make time to celebrate birthdays and plan outings together. We also gather in the homes of various congregants to enjoy many seasonal festivities.
We recognize that the work of the Lord is serious business, but scripture also teaches there is a time and place for enjoying life, laughing, and being of good cheer. We can’t think of any better way to achieve these goals than by sharing time together.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 KJV
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
